Biology Professor David Sloan Wilson was among the experts featured in a discussion of altruism for the National Public Radio show "The Infinite Mind." The program was broadcast at 1 p.m. ET, Sat., Feb. 10. Wilson, who, with Elliot Sober, is coauthor of Unto Others: The Evolution and Psychology of Unselfish Behavior, is considered among the leading proponents of a theory that there is a biological basis for altruism. Music professor Timothy Perry appears on PBS miniseries

Timothy Perry, associate professor of music, appeared in the film and soundtrack for A House Divided, a six-hour mini-series on Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln, broadcast Feb. 19-21 as part of PBS's series The American Experience. In the series Perry played original 1860s clarinets and performed the "Mary Todd Lincoln Polka," for which he researched the score in Washington, D.C.
