Barry Schneider '64 Barry Schneider, a Superior Court Judge in Maricopa County, Arizona, retired in January, ending a 21-year judicial career.  He planned to return to practicing law, specializing in mediation.  In 2002, he received the State Bar of Arizona President's Award.

Andrew Bergman received the Ian Mclellan Hunter Award for Lifetime Achievement in writing at the Writers Guild of America awards in New York City. 

Laurie (Urbscheit) Duesing retired in July 2006 after 40 years of full-time teaching, the last 39 of them at Solano Community College in California where she taught composition, creative writing, and literature.  She has relocated to Louisville, Ky., where members of her family live. 

Marcia B. Goodman retired from her position as director of the legislative commissioners' office at the Connecticut State Legislature.  She has become the booking agent for the band Last Fair Deal, and has an online bookstore (http://www.charteroakbooks.net).  She lives in Cromwell, Conn. with her husband, Phil, and stepchildren, Jeremy (20 years old) and Kathrin (17).

Richard Allen is an enrichment teacher for the Williston School District in Williston, Vt.  The Williston Historical Society recently held a special event to recognize his accomplishments, which include serving as author or co-author of four books on the area's history.

Kenneth Peress is vice president for student affairs at Lake Superior State University.  He previously served as dean of students at Wilmington College in Ohio.

Leonard G. Feld began a dual appointment as chair of the department of pediatrics at Carolinas Medical Center and chief medical officer of Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, N.C.

Ronald G. Linville would especially like to connect with his Philo and Cinema friends, the Nick Ray crew, and the Eat the Baby crowd.  He can be contacted at scipville@frontiernet.net.

Denise Oliver has enjoyed a long career in commercial radio programming, and now consults and develops audio content for radio, cable and print companies.  Last fall, she joined her WHRW friends to celebrate the station's 40th reunion.

Mitchell Silver, MA, who has been teaching philosophy at the University of Massachusetts in Boston since 1982, has recently published A Plausible God: Secular Reflections on Liberal Jewish Theology (Fordham University Press, 2006).  The book asks the question of whether a God a rational person can believe in is worth believing in.

Debi (Gibson) Goldfisher went back to school to get a teaching certificate, has been teaching for a few years, and is currently teaching fifth grade.  Her daughter, Jessica, is attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, while her other daughter, Amy, is in high school.  Debi would love to hear from old friends at DCraftlady@msn.com. 

Carolyn (Brooks) Schuk has been a freelance technology writer for the last 15 years.  This year, she started a daily column at http://www.voxilla.com on new developments in Internet telephony.  Schuk also writes regularly for the Silicon Valley Business Journal and the Santa Clara Weekly, for which she did a series about last summer's flood in Broome County.

Richard Hoffmann was elected a judge of the Suffolk County Family Court.  His ten-year term was scheduled to begin on Jan. 1, 2007.

Tandy (Gold) Camilli has been working in the computer field for more than 20 years, including leadership roles at IBM and PWC.  Tandy published the book Outsourcing Software Development Offshore: Making It Work (CRC Press, 2004).  After many years in Boston, Tandy now lives in Orlando, Fla. with her husband, Dan, and four cats.  Tandy can be reached at tgold973@aol.com.

Tim Sheridan ran his third Boston Marathon and third New York City Marathon in 2006.

Robert G. Lacell, MS retired in June 2006 after 33 years as director of public information at Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) in Utica, N.Y.  Much of his time is now spent on raising funds for a scholarship at MVCC in memory of his grandson, Daron Malik Jae Simpson, who was murdered in November 2004 at the age of 2.  For more information, visit http://www.daronscholarship.org.

William Reuter, chief administrative and financial officer at Erie Community College, was named interim president of the college in November 2006.  He has served as the chief administrative and financial officer there since 1998, handling the daily operations of a multi-campus college with more than 13,000 students and 1,500 employees.

David Schultz, MA '86, a professor in the Graduate School of Management at Hamline University, was selected as a Fulbright Senior Specialist to teach election law at the American University of Armenia law school.

Darren Dopp was named communications director for New York state Governor Eliot Spitzer.  He held that position with the Attorney General's office since 1999. 

Robin Barbara Salsberg was presented with the 2006 Advocate of the Year Award by the Long Island Working Partnership and New York State Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities.  She works as a human resources professional, providing job training and serving on advisory councils for non-profit agencies that promote equity and excellence for the disabled.

Laszlo C. Kolozsvary, MS is the vice president of information technology and facilities with AmeriCU Credit Union.  Previously, he served as chief information officer for instructional and information technology with Boston Public Schools.

Rosemarie Arnold, a New Jersey-based lawyer, has teamed up with an attorney in New York to form a civil litigation firm Tacopina & Arnold.

Nina Owens, MS was named assistant vice president of Utica National Insurance Group.  She joined Utica National in 1978 and has held a variety of management positions.  She lives in Clinton, N.Y.

Sara A. Shapiro married Ira Lawrence Brody on Feb. 5, 2006 in Rye, N.Y.  Alumni who attended the wedding celebration party in March 2006:  Fred Friedman '79, Rob Harrison '82, and Wendy (Selzer) Cohen and Jeffrey Cohen, both '83.  Sara recently left her job at Lehman Brothers after 21 years, and is enjoying a sabbatical from work.  She is a stepmother of four.  Sara and her husband live in Rye, N.Y. and Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Jay R. Goldstein, an attorney in Philadelphia, was named President and CEO of the newly-established Valley Green Bank.  He was previously a partner in the law firm of Kleinbard, Bell & Brecker.

Lee Jacobs and his wife, Rachel, are happy to report the birth of their daughter, Lauren Frankie, on May 17, 2006.  Lee formed a new company in 2004 and planned to launch its first product line, Matte For Men, in January 2007.  He can be contacted through http://www.MatteForMen.com.

Gone Nuts!, a new kosher product from Najla's Inc. of Louisville, Ky. (owned by Najla R. Aswad), won the Best In Show and Best Snack Item awards at the Kosherfest 2006 New Products Competition. 

Michael Coughlin and his wife, Eileen, welcomed their second child, Shea Christine, on Oct. 23, 2006.  She joins brother Liam (3 years old).  Michael currently works as a health care analyst/biostatistician at Gateway Health Plan in Pittsburgh after completing a doctorate in epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh in 2004. 

Peter Englot has joined the public affairs division at Syracuse University as director of strategic initiatives.  Prior to that, he was the director of academic services in the graduate enrollment management center.

Jonathan E. Fiur moved to the Chicago area in December 2006 with his wife, Jill, and daughter Natalie (3 years old).  He would like to hear from alumni living in Chicagoland at jonathan.fiur@gmail.com.

Jill Goldstein has been appointed as director of the congregate care program at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York.  She had served as vice president of clinical services of ACCESS Nursing Services, a licensed home care services agency.

Heidi Nobiling-Grassi was appointed interim chief nursing officer for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  Prior to that, she was senior associate director for intensive and specialty services in the Department of Nursing Services and Patient Care.

Sean O'Leary is a program specialist in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.  He has been assigned to the U.S. mission at NATO to serve as an expert in civil emergency planning.  He and his wife, Sandy, have relocated to Brussels, Belgium with their dog, Lana.

Robert Schindel was recently promoted to the rank of associate professor of orthodontics at the Stony Brook University Dental School.  He maintains a private practice in East Northport, N.Y.  He has been married to Suzanne Maioriello '87 for 17 years and they have three children:  Nicole (13 years old), Julia (10), and Stephen (9).

Steven Heller '87 Steven Heller has joined the British law firm of Burt Brill & Cardens as a private client executive.  He lives in the United Kingdom with his wife, Sharon, and two children, Lila and Leo.

Laurie Foos and her husband Michael Giannetta '87, MS '89 welcomed a son, Zachariah Michael, on Sept. 24, 2006.  He joins sister Ella Rose (1 year old).  Laurie is a novelist and Michael is a patent attorney.  The family lives on Long Island.

Heather Gitlin and Martin Bershtein welcomed a son, Eric Noah Bershtein, on Oct. 19, 2006.  He joins siblings Ilana (12 years old), Alexander (8) and George (5).  Heather is an associate professor in the psychology department at University of Maryland University College.  She and her family live in Pennsylvania.

Laurence S. Godin was appointed general counsel, senior managing director and executive vice president of Bear Stearns Asset Management in New York.

Deborah Abramson Levine and Michael Levine '88 are raising money for a breast cancer charity, Young Survival Coalition, by organizing "Pink Lemonade Stands Across America".  Last October, they raised more than $7,000 from more than 20 stands in Long Island, Westchester County, Virginia, Texas and California.  They hope to make this campaign even more successful in 2007.  They can be contacted at MLevine336@aol.com or http://www.youngsurvival.org.

Amy N. Roth was recently promoted to senior staff counsel with the law firm of Constantine Cannon.  In 2005, she moved to Washington, D.C. when the firm opened an office there.

Born to Stacy (Margolis) Whelley, and her husband, Tim, a second daughter, Magdalena, on Oct. 3, 2005.  Stacy is a vice president of product development at MasterCard Worldwide.  She lives and works in Westchester County, N.Y.

Kenneth Baum, and his wife, Keren, welcomed the arrival of Sophie Rose on April 29, 2006.  She joins her older brother, Eric.  Ken is a member of the law firm Cole, Schotz, Meisel, Forman & Leonard.  The family lives in Park Ridge, N.J.

Michael L. Bruck is collaborating on a new pediatric partnership called Simo and Bruck Pediatrics in Wellington, Fla.  Michael says he will happily care for any Binghamton alumni, children, or grandchildren who happen to be in his area.  He also says hello to all his Tau Alpha Upsilon Fraternity brothers.

Andrea Feinson Roizman and her husband, Howard, had their third child, a daughter, Sierra Page, on Dec. 12, 2006.  She joins brothers Brett (9 years old) and Jeffrey (6).  The family lives in East Northport, N.Y.

Alan B. Horowitz, his wife, Stacy, and their three sons, Justin (10 years old), Zachary (8) and Clay (6) live in the Manchester area of England.  Alan is on an international assignment with his employer, AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, leading the company's safety, health, and environment governance and safety strategy programs.  Alan writes:  "My friend and mentor, the late Prof. Paul Smith, would have been proud of my decision to leave the law!"

Judson L. Jeffries, MA is a full professor in the department of African-American and African Studies at The Ohio State University.  He is also the director of the department's Community Extension Center in the historic Black community of Mount Vernon Avenue in Columbus.  Jeffries was previously an associate professor of political science, American studies and homeland security studies at Purdue University.  Jeffries is the author or co-author of five books, the most recent of which is Black Power in the Belly of the Beast (University of Illinois Press, 2006).

Meichelle MacGregor and her husband, Joseph Keane, are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Jack Cassidy, on June 21, 2006.  He joins big sister Penelope (4 years old).

Russ Nelligan was named creative services director of WCVB-TV in Boston.  He had served in the same capacity at WBAL-TV in Baltimore.

Patty (Powell) Dungan gave birth to a boy, Jack, on Jan. 23, 2007.  He joins big sister Nicole (4 years old) and big brother Max (3).  Patty is a lawyer, but currently stays at home with the kids.

Doris (Villota) Freedman, and her husband, Jon, welcomed their third daughter, Daniella, on Oct. 27, 2006.  Doris has taken a break from practicing law to care for Daniella and her sisters, Samie and Alyssa.  When time allows, Doris writes health and nutrition articles for parenting magazines.  The family lives in North Salem, N.Y.

Naomi (Levin) Jackman and her husband, Robert, welcomed a son, Nathan Michael, on Oct. 20, 2006.  He joins big sister Hannah (8 years old) and big brother Adam (5).  Naomi is a pediatrician in Port Washington, N.Y., where the family resides.

Jeanne Murdock became a guild certified Feldenkrais practitioner in May 2006 and has started her own practice in Olympia, Wash.  She would welcome contact from friends at elf23@comcast.net.

Diana (Roberts) Franco and her husband, Alex, welcomed a son, Austin James, on July 1, 2006.  He joins sister Sabrina (3 years old).  The family lives in Northern Virginia.

Andrew Warshauer and his wife, Michele, welcomed their first child, a son, Gavin Michael, on Sept. 21, 2006.  Michele is a special education teacher, and Andrew is an attorney.  The family lives in Plainview, N.Y.  Michele and Andrew would love to hear from old friends at andy1130@optonline.net.

Dr. Elizabeth (Kirk) Matteo and her husband, Jude Matteo, had a son, Jonah, on Dec. 10, 2006.

Born to Lisa (Flamholtz) Rucker, and her husband, Phil, twins Rachel Diana and Matthew Todd on May 4, 2006.  Lisa is an attorney for the New York State Unified Court System in Queens.  The family lives in Monroe, N.Y.

Kevin Sablich recently accepted the position of director of operations/vice chair of the faculty practice at Albany Medical Center.  He has relocated to Saratoga Springs, N.Y. with his wife Jennifer and children, Grace, Caroline, and Blake.

Cynthia Santiago, MBA '93 moved to Ossining, N.Y. in February 2006 with her husband, and two daughters, Deanna (6 years old) and Isabella (3).  Cynthia now works for Houlihan Lawrence Real Estate in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., targeting the northern section of Westchester County.  She can be contacted through http://www.houlihanlawrence.com.

Jeremy Tomasulo and his wife, Gwendolyn, welcomed a son, Michael Harrison, on June 12, 2006 in Suffern, N.Y.  Jeremy is a staff assistant for Congressman Eliot Engel.

Lisa A. DeSiro recently moved to Cambridge, Mass., where she has been working as an editorial assistant for The Packard Humanities Institute's publication of C.P.E. Bach: The Complete Works.  In January, Lisa was selected as a participant in the Mayor's Prose & Poetry Program.  Her poems will be on display at Boston City Hall.

Marlene (Goldstein) Gold-Balin and her husband, Fred Balin '93, welcomed a daughter, Dana Madison, on Jan. 2, 2007.  She was born at Englewood Hospital in New Jersey and joins big sister Chloe (2 years old).

Vicki (Robideau) Mazzie received her Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation in November, 2006.  She is also an Enrolled Actuary (EA) and works in the Albany, N.Y. office of Milliman, Inc.  She lives in Colonie, N.Y. with her husband, Michael, and children, Jeff (10 years old), Greg (8), Elizabeth (3).

Douglas Barry Melamed and his wife, Lisa, welcomed their second child, Abigail Mae, on Dec. 27, 2005.  Their son, Nicholas Chase, is now 3 years old.  The family lives in Coral Springs, Fla. where Doug has his own law firm specializing in civil litigation defense.

Michelle (Weintraub) Rimland and her husband, Jason, welcomed a son, Samuel Austin, on July 26, 2006.  He joins sister Ella Marly (3 years old).

Lee B. Salz signed with Wbusiness Books to publish Soar Despite Your Dodo Sales Manager.  The book was slated to be in stores in June.  He lives in Maple Grove, Minn. with his wife and three children.

Stacey (Schor) Tatar would like to let her classmates know that she, her husband and two children moved last fall from New Jersey to New York.  Stacey is a stay-at-home mom and very happy to be living much closer now to her parents and newly married sister.  Stacey's kids are Sophie Emily (5 years old) and Joshua Benjamin (2).  Stacey would love to connect with old friends at staceytatar@verizon.net.

Steven C. Stern has become a partner in the law firm Miranda Sokoloff Sambursky Slone Verveniotis in Mineola, N.Y.  He specializes in the defense of municipalities and school districts in employment and civil rights litigation.  He lives in Glen Cove, N.Y. with his wife Jen and two children, Sabrina (age 4) and Brandon (2).

Darien Wright recently joined Marriott International's global finance group in Bethesda, Md.  Last summer, his wife, Laura, threw him a surprise birthday party with the following alumni in attendance:  Kasandra Pantoja and Hugh Zuber, both '92; Colin Lord, Lloyd Marshall, Rey Polanco, and Pablo Tejada, all '93; and George Brown '95.  The Wright family lives in Beltsville, Md.

Eric Coultoff and his wife, Lisa, welcomed their second child, Shawn Logan, on Nov. 21, 2006.  He joins big sister, Mackenzie Bay (3 years old).  Eric left his position as national sales manager with Player's Pass, and has joined Progressive Employer Services in order to spend more time with his family in suburban Orlando, Fla.

Born to Denise (Dunkin) Gillis, and her husband, Pete, a daughter, Julia Taylor, on Nov. 12, 2006.  She joins big brother Christopher Richard (15 months).

Debbi (Helman) Zukerman and her husband, Marc Zukerman '93, have been married for six years and have a 4-year-old boy named Cary.  Marc is a vice president at Morgan Stanley and Debbi is a domestic engineer.  They just moved to Rockville Centre, N.Y. and would love to hear from old friends at dazukerman@hotmail.com.

Katie (Raftery) Garguilo and her husband, Ray, welcomed a son, Jack Thomas, on Nov. 16, 2006.  He joins sister Shannon (4 years old) and brother R.J. (2).  Katie is currently a speech pathologist in Cranford, N.J.

Ellen (Schaefer) Hirschkind and her husband, Jonathan Hirschkind '92, welcomed a son, Michael John, on Jan. 13, 2006.  He joins sisters Lauren (7 years old) and Rachel (4).  The family lives in Monroe, N.Y.

Jill (Schneider) Kirol and her husband, Peter, had a daughter, Londyn Paige, on Jan. 4, 2007.  She joins big brothers Fletcher (8 years old) and Tanner (3), and big sister Payton (6).

James Hughes, and his wife, Stephanie, welcomed a daughter, Sydney Ireland, on Sept. 27, 2004.  Both husband and wife are physical therapists at the VA Hospital in Tampa, Fla.

Allison (Scher) Bernbach has joined Oak Hill Capital Management, a private equity firm in New York City, as an associate general counsel and compliance officer.  She lives in Chappaqua, N.Y. with her husband, Jason, and their daughter Ryan (4 years old) and son Bryce (2).

Noel Tiell, and his wife, Lisa, welcomed a daughter, Chayse Sloan, on April 25, 2006.  She joins brother A.J. (4 years old).  Noel is a recruiting manager for Robert Half International.  The family lives in Orlando, Fla.

Jeffrey J. Weiss was recently named a partner in the labor and employment and education law practice groups at Hodgson Russ in Buffalo, one of the oldest law firms in the U.S.  He concentrates on special education law.

David Borak and his wife, Jill, had their second child, a daughter, Adelaide Lucerne, on Nov. 9, 2006.  She joins big brother Sam (4 years old).

Chris Braiotta married Emily Arkin '95 in Lincoln, Mass.  Attending were Jef Czekaj '91; Kathleen (Rutkowski) Coleman '92; Paul Coleman, Jen Godfrey, and Leah Mechanic, all '94; and Danielle Castronovo '96.

Jean (Dierking) Belford, and her husband, Matt, welcomed a daughter, Lillian "Lilly" Rae on Aug. 9, 2006.

Robin Goldfarb, MBA '94 Robin Goldfarb, MBA married Neil Wilensky on Sept. 10, 2006 in Great Neck, N.Y.  Robin is a solutions architect for Sun Microsystems.  The wedding party included bridesmaid Kathryn (Donahue) Daley '94 and groomsmen Adam Goldfarb '95 and Kyle Levitt '87.  Jenn Masci '93, Deborah (Walman) Berkowitz '95, Mark Daley '93, Gerry Schair '89, Brent Landau '98, Eric Landau '01 attended.  The couple lives in New York City.

Laura Granelli married Dr. Eric Gerde on Sept. 30, 2006 in Westhampton, N.Y.  Laura is a partner at the law firm of Jaspan Schlesinger Hoffman in Garden City, N.Y., where she practices municipal and education law.  Binghamton alumni who attended:  Lara Posner and David Newman, both '93; Eric Maldonado, Jennifer Bookman Levin, Robyn Kaminer, Jessica Smith Weitzman, Nancy Tawadros and Peter Tawadros, all '94.  The couple lives in Centerport, N.Y.Eric Lewin and his wife, Adrienne, welcomed a son, Marc Benjamin, on Aug. 10, 2006.  Eric is a fixed income business manager with Bloomberg LP in New York.  The family lives in Livingston, N.J.

Paula (Rosenzweig) Levy and her husband, Marc, welcomed their second child, Liza Jaclyn, on September 8, 2006.  Liza joins big brother Spencer (2 years old).  The family lives in Boynton Beach, Fla. 

Sander N. Rothchild became a partner of the Manhattan-based law firm of Fabiani, Cohen & Hall, LLP.  He has been affiliated with the firm since he graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1997.

Norman C. Simon was elected to litigation partner at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP in New York.

Debi Yarkon married Brett Blitz on Aug. 20, 2006 at the Tarrytown House Estate in Tarrytown, N.Y.  David Krassin '92; Rich Bloom and Kellie (Bradley) McPoyle, both '95; and Jennifer (Graber) Migdal '96 attended.  The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and currently lives in Long Beach, N.Y. Debi is self-employed as a pediatric occupational therapist.

Kristin (Kieffer) Butler, community information specialist for the Elmira (N.Y.) City School District, received three awards for her work on the school district's education plan, Great Expectations:  an Award of Merit in the New York School Public Relations Association communications competition; an Award of Merit in the National School Public Relations Association's 2006 Publications and Electronic Media Contest; and an Award of Distinction in The Communicator Awards 2006 Print Competition.

Colleen (Conklin) Kellner and her husband, Tom, welcomed a daughter, Elizabeth, on April 20, 2005.  The family lives in Wallkill, N.Y.

Rei (Hirasawa) Deckman and her husband Mark Deckman '96 welcomed a daughter, Hana Hirasawa Deckman, on Dec. 20, 2006.  She was born at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y.

Born to Jennifer (Lieblich) Lenkowsky and her husband, Aron, a daughter, Gari Shayla, on Aug. 29, 2006.  Jennifer is the owner of The Jennifer Group Inc., a recruiting firm in Manhattan, where she lives with her family.

Memoly kids Michael Memoly and his wife, Michelle, are proud to announce the birth of their third child, Charlotte Mae, born on Sept. 22, 2006.  Charlotte joins her sisters Lauren (age 3) and Kendall (1).  Michael left Ernst & Young after 11 years to join a real estate investment company, LBA Realty, as vice president and chief accounting officer.  The family lives in Orange County, Calif.

Rajiv Saini and Chhavi Katyal welcomed their son, Arjun, on Dec. 21, 2006.

Sosik has published Leading With Character:  Stories of Valor and Virtue and the Principles They Teach (Information Age Publishing, 2006).  What kind of character strengths must leaders develop in themselves and others to create and sustain extraordinary growth and performance?  Sosik's book answers this question.

Paula (Berger) Storm, and her husband, Seth Storm '96, had a baby girl, Addison Faith, on Sept. 27, 2006.  Big brother Ethan was happy to welcome her to the family.

Kai Zhang moved to Hong Kong in June 2006 after managing a commodities fund and a series of targeted retirement funds in Barclays Global Investor's San Francisco headquarters for two years.  He is now managing two China iShares and two India iShares ETFs.

James R. Fowler, MASS '06 accepted a position as associate director of admissions at Brandeis University.  Jim and his wife Heather Mackey-Fowler '99 live in Grafton, Mass.  She is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Umass Medical School in Worcester, Mass.  Heather practices at Family Health Center of Worcester and is a faculty member in the Umass family medicine residency.

Matthew Zachary Greenzweig is the founder and executive director of Steps For Living, and an 11-year young adult survivor of pediatric brain cancer.  His agency has launched "I'm Too Young For This!", a public awareness and resource literacy campaign to benefit the oft-forgotten group of cancer survivors, aged 15 to 39.

Rob Kirkpatrick, Ph.D. has published Cecil Travis of the Washington Senators:  The War-Torn Career of an All-Star Shortstop (McFarland, 2006), the biography of this .314 lifetime hitter and World War II veteran.  Dave Kindred of Sporting News wrote the book's foreword.  Kirkpatrick is also the editor of The Quotable Sixties (The Lyons Press, 2006), a collection of memorable quotations from this bellwether decade in American culture.

IN MEMORIAM

Richard Norman Barshinger, Ph.D. '80 died on July 16, 2006 at his home in Dalton, Pa.  For 36 years, he was a professor of mathematics at the Penn State Worthington Scranton campus in Dunmore, Pa.  He is survived by a daughter, Adrien Lambert, and his son James.

Kai Peter Lin '88 died on March 31, 2006 at his home in Worcester, Mass.  He studied biochemistry, earning his bachelor's degree from Binghamton and Ph.D. from Stony Brook University.  He as a research fellow at the University of California at San Francisco, then accepted a faculty position.  Kai was an associate professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in the departments of biochemistry and molecular pharmacology.  He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Suvana Lin '90, and his daughter, Shannen.

Kimberly O'Brien-Cahill '91 died on Jan. 12, 2007, at the age of 37, after a valiant battle with biliary cancer.  She is survived by her husband Miles Cahill '91, daughter Sara (6 years old), and son Sean (3).  Kim loved cooking and gardening with her family, enjoyed the outdoors and was proud of her work as a nurse.  She will always be remembered for her love of life, kindness, and beautiful smile.  Miles can be contacted at mcahill@holycross.edu.  Donations may be made in her honor to http://rally4youth.org.

Peter H. Morse, MA '95, Ph.D. '06 died on Jan. 13, 2007 at the age of 36.  According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Morse was a program coordinator for the Drug Overdose Prevention Education project of San Francisco.  He is survived by his partner of 11 years, Liz Turner; parents, Pete and Patty Morse; sister, Carrie Morse; and his brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Meredith Morse.
