Tanya is the Human Resources Director for a technology recruiting firm and Raph is the director of information technology for a medical institute based in New York City. The couple honeymooned in Bolivia. They live in Bronxville, N.Y.

Evan R. Farber and wife Amanda welcomed son Dean Grayson on Jan. 20, 2006. He joins brother Jack. Evan is a partner with Hogan & Hartson LLP, a law firm based in Washington, D.C. The family lives in Bethesda, Md.
Don Antonucci, MA, was promoted to manager of the Maine Small Group market at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Antonucci also became president of the Maine Marketing Association.

Carlalynne Melendez, PhD, is an assistant professor at the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras. She teaches multidisciplinary courses in geoethnography, geographical information systems and environmental science. She is founder and president of the non-profit organization Liga Taina-Ke Inc., which is involved in the indigenous (Taino) cultural revival movement on the island. Lisa Weiskoph-Hubbard, MA, earned a National Board for Professional Teaching Standards certification as an exceptional-needs specialist in November 2004. She was the first in her building to earn this higher certification, the second in her school district to achieve it and the only one who has earned it in the area of special education in her district. She and her husband welcomed their second child, Hailey Joy, on April 15, 2005.

Kelly Germinario Gibbons married Colum Gibbons BSE ’98, MS ’00, on June 11, 2005, on Long Island. Debra J. Farber received her JD from Brooklyn Law School in June 2005. She has recently joined American Express as the manager of Online Privacy and works in the World Financial Center in downtown Manhattan.
Kristen Weber graduated from Pace University in September 2005 with a master’s of science in publishing. She currently works as an editor at Warner Books where she runs their mystery imprint, Mysterious Press, and works with authors including Kate White, Marcia Muller and Margaret Maron.
Dina Shoykhet Katz received her MEd from University of Massachusetts in Boston in 2005.
John Ros accepted a position as coordinator at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson,Vt. His April 1,8, 2006, exhibit featured new work from Vermont including painting, monotype and drawing.

Jamie Marie (Baier) Garcia married Michael Garcia on Sept. 25, 2005, graduated with an MSEE from Duke University and started a new job in October. “After all these exciting events she is settling down and beginning to plan her next move with her new conspirator, Mike.”
Shameeka L. Mattis graduated with an MSW from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Work in May 2005. She works with children, relative caregivers and the incarcerated mothers of these children. The mothers have substance-abuse issues and get involved with the program to work on their recovery and reconnect with their children in some way after being released from prison. “It is a hard, but extremely fulfilling position.”
Tiara Higdon McCray married Richard Arnold McCray II on March 12, 2006. The couple met at Howard University School of Law, where they are both attaining their juris doctorates. Tiara graduates in May and will take the New York bar exam in July. She will then work for the New York State Court System as a legal fellow for one year and then clerk for the District of Columbia Court of Appeals in 2007. She plans to practice civil rights and international human rights law.

Neil Thomas Case was on the track and field team all four years while at Binghamton University. “I was the captain of the team my junior and senior years. I had a great time getting to know my classmates and professors. I think that human development has some of the friendliest professors in the school.”

Romolo Ceccarelli ’61 died in December 2005 of an aortic aneurism. He was almost 73. Rom attended Harpur College on the G.I. bill after serving with the Air Force in the Korean War. He received his PhD in Italian Literature from Johns Hopkins in 1963. He is survived by a son, two daughters and his former wife, Judith Hansen ’61.
Donna M. Blake ’77 died on Jan. 15, 2006, at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton. She was an employee of Lockheed Martin Federal Systems, Owego, N.Y., for the past 30 years and served as Chief Information Officer for the past two years. Donna was always eager to help out Binghamton University students and sponsored several tours and interview sessions for the Watson School’s student chapter of the Society of Women Engineers. She was a great family vacation planner and enjoyed outdoor activities such as skiing and kayaking with her family. She enjoyed reading best-selling novels, was an avid fan of football and baseball, and especially the Binghamton Mets. Donna was always dedicated to her family and was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.
Randy S. Rockwell ’77 died on Nov. 21, 2005. As a student at Binghamton University, he performed with the jazz ensemble as a bassist. He was employed as a computer analyst/programmer by Computer House, Financial Systems Inc., and Gemini Systems of South Portland and Scarborough. He and his partner acquired the computer portion of the business and incorporated as Taurus Systems of Saco. Randy served as president of Taurus until his death. He is survived by his wife, Sarah, and stepson.
Evan Hunter Gordon ’80 died suddenly on Nov. 2, 2005, in Brooklyn, N.Y. His friends and family held a memorial service on April 8, 2006, a few days after what would have been his 50th birthday. For more details contact Lauren Gordon at laurengordon1954@yahoo.com.
Thomas Nolan ’84 died on March 7, 2006.
Richard G. Smith died on March 8, 2006. He came to the area in 1969 to teach acting/directing at Binghamton University and founded the Cider Mill Playhouse.
