Larry Schorr and Margaret Lamphere Bellville have volunteered to serve as class agents for the class of 1975. Larry explained that he lives locally and supports the University, so that's why he offered to help organize the reunion for his class.
"It's good to remember the past with all of its glories and flaws," Larry said. His most vivid memories are of things that happened outside of the classroom:
"I spent my freshman year in Johnson Hall (where) a floormate jumped out of the third floor into a snowbank and there was a humongous creampuff fight at Newing Dining Hall. My second year, we moved into the brand new dorms at College in the Woods which was a real treat. My third and fourth years were spent off campus in one dive after another, where I learned about the real world from real people."
Besides remembering the fun, Larry also realizes that it is important to the University's development goals to reconnect with alumni, "letting them know of the great accomplishments over the past 30 years."
He is looking forward to seeing old friends and hearing about all of their accomplishments, reminiscing, reflecting on the changes he and his classmates have gone through, and hooking up with a roommate.
He and his wife Jenny '81 are hosting a cocktail party for class members from 6 - 8 p.m. on Saturday night at their home in Vestal.
