Alumni Association offers travel, educational opportunities

For many of us, the desire to see the world and share experiences that are out of the ordinary is something that never leaves us. The Binghamton University Alumni Association has a program that can help feed your lifelong love of learning and travel.

Through our alumni travel program, you can visit exciting overseas lands. Binghamton University faculty experts will make the trip with you, taking you to must-see spots and providing insightful commentary. We are offering trips to the following locations:

* Discover Scotland - August 2008: Join Theatre Professors Tom Kremer and Carol Hanscom for a visit to the world's largest indoor and outdoor "happening" of performing arts. Every August, producers, directors, actors, mimes, jugglers and musicians gather for The Fringe.

* Vietnam Surprise - January 2009: Theatre Professor Don Boros is your guide on a journey through a mysterious land home to breathtaking beauty, abiding tradition and hospitable people.

Santiago, Chile

* South American Journey - January 2009: Escape winter in the U.S., and join Kremer and Hanscom as they explore Buenos Aires, Argentina, a European-style capital city. They'll also visit Santiago, Chile (pictured), a vibrant city surrounded by the majestic Andes Mountains. (Photo used under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License.)

Kabuki

* Japanese Culture and Theatre History - May 2009: Join Boros for days of sightseeing at temples and shrines unlike anything you've ever seen. He will also reveal the mysteries of Japanese culture, exploring the development of Far East theatre. Our travel program is a great way to connect with fellow alumni and friends of the University. For more information on these trips, or to let us know about your travel interests for future excursions, contact Rose Frierman, director of alumni and parent operations.
