Many
of our alumni continue to be involved in the aftermath of Sept.
11 in a variety of ways. Many are engaged in trying to fathom and
interpret the ramifications of that day for themselves and for all
of us. "Sept. 11 Alumni Connections" is a forum for these stories.
If you
have a story to tell, a project you're working on or a message to
share about the aftermath of Sept. 11, please send it in, and we
will publish it in this section of Alumni Connect.

Ron
Golditch Block '63, president of the Rotary Club of Newbury
Park, Calif., sent this picture of his trip to Ghana for a Rotary
National Immunization Day. "Rotary has set a goal to rid the world
of polio by 2005 and hopefully the end is in sight," he wrote. In
this photo, he's giving "two precious drops of vaccine" to a baby
girl.
"The trip took place
a month after 9/11 and while retribution was the theme of the day
I thought it also important for Americans to reach out with a caring
hand. The people of Ghana greatly appreciated our efforts in the
light of events."
